Yeh IDeology is a boutique recruitment firm specializing in design and strategy. Our client is a leading retail company looking for a Physical Experience Designer.

The Physical Experience Designer will be responsible for developing and delivering, from concept to completion, the physical components of brilliant customer experiences. Grounded in the tools and methods of service design, you will be responsible for distilling and synthesizing customer insights into meaningful artifacts that offer up a truly integrated, omni-channel experience.


*Concepting – come up with the key ideas that drive a project and the supporting ideas needed to implement them in various channels
*Produce floorplans, layouts, and detailed presentation decks
*Build scale models where required
*Develop systematic and rigorous experience documents – journey maps, storyboards, functional specifications, data models parameters, etc.

*Ensure that the execution of assigned projects aligns with brand strategy, project schedules and project budgets
*Maintain and nurture positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and external design agencies
*Quality Assurance – track and monitor progress on development and quality of the customer experience
*Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projects. Inform and incorporate feedback to project team

*Lead the creative efforts on projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies
*Mentor and provide creative direction to design teams
*Act as the primary design interface with internal clients and external consultants


*Proven creative skill in designing and developing outstanding customer experiences
*Practical experience in application of service design methods (e. g. User Interviews, Contextual Inquiry, Competitor Benchmark, Stakeholder Map, Personas, Customer Journey, Service Blueprint, System Maps, Wireframes, Experience Flows, Enactments, etc.)
*Confidence in defining, documenting and communicating end-to-end experiences
*Strong storytelling, persuading and influencing skills

*Strong and confident visualization skills from pen to pixel
*High level of software proficiency (Adobe CS and other prototyping tools)

*BA or BS degree required preferably in interior design, graphic design, industrial design, and/or architecture
*Minimum 5+ years of global experience design for spaces
*Proven track record in creative strategy and brand/retail positioning projects
*Proficient in Autocad Adobe Creative Suite, Google Sketch Up and Microsoft Office Suite
*Demonstrated hands-on skill in 2D and 3D modeling and prototyping and working knowledge of color and design principles
*Current knowledge of industry trends in retail store design
*Understanding of underlying interactive technologies such as web and mobile
