Identify Your Talents To Reach Career Success
3-Part Workshop w/ Angela Yeh
Wed, Jul 12, 2017, 1:30 PM – Wed, Jul 26, 2017, 2:30 PM EDT
How many times has an interviewer asked “What do you consider to be your strengths and weaknesses?” You probably answered generically, “I’m strategic”, “I love ideation” or “I’m great at problem solving”. When it comes to questions of weakness you’ve probably spun a strength around to sound like a weakness, “I hate to fail” OR “I work too hard”. And, you avoid saying things like, “I don’t like CAD” or “I’m not hands on any more”.
Truly successful people have a high EQ (Emotional Intelligence) and they know what their gifts and strengths are. But most importantly, they know what their weaknesses and dislikes are and know how to frame and position them.
This is critical because we now work in a much more collaborative environment. In the most successful companies and teams each employee is mindful of what they bring to the table and how they work best. A big piece of that is knowing what you offer as well as what you don’t.
Join Angela Yeh, founder of Yeh IDeology, in this 3 part weekly workshop series, “What’s my talent? Identify your talents to reach career success”.
