RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing the industrial design group through directing the innovation process and managing the professional growth of fellow designers.
Recruiting and hiring designers.
Establishing and maintaining a set of design department standards to ensure design excellence.
Maintain a user-centric approach to product development that promotes a high standard of customer service and identifies strategic opportunities for Radius.
Managing the design budget and current clientele, while participating in soliciting new jobs and customers.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE TYPICALLY REQUIRED:
8 to 10 years of experience as a practicing industrial designer
3 to 5 years of experience managing product development teams
A history of developing products with multi-disciplinary teams
A history of participating in the development of products from research and strategy through to product design assembly and production.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors in Industrial Design, Masters Degree preferred
